Electrical & Electronics Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronics was established in 2006 due to the developments in the power sector and increasing demand for electrical and electronics professionals across all industries. The role of an electrical engineer covers the design and development of more efficient electrical applications, of which some include generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy.

While assigning projects and electives, care is taken to train students for broader employment potential. The department is constantly involved in research activities and also provides extensive testing facilities. With the introduction of advanced topics on the Internet, Neural Networks and Circuit simulation, the department has elevated its standards.

The Department routinely hosts technical talks by leading industry experts and academicians. Smt. M.S. Joshi has delivered a lecture at the Department. A one-day workshop on renewable energy sources was held and recently faculty development programs on Analog Circuit Design and MATLAB were conducted. The Department routinely organizes technical talks by leading industry experts and academicians in diverse areas to spread awareness among students and staff. Annual industrial visits are arranged for the students to imbibe practical knowledge on the subject. In the recent past, the EEE students have visited many companies.
