Electronics and Communication engineering

The department was established in the year 1987-88 with an intake of 30 students. It has the distinction of filling all seats every academic year and has consistently maintained the highest strength, and holds the honour of contributing three state-level diploma ranks in different academic years, two 10th ranks and one 9th rank. The department occupies a prominent place in the educational history of this prestigious institution.

The faculty members take a keen interest in improving the students' soft skills by regularly arranging personality development programmes and co-curricular activities. These activities enable them to have an edge over others in this competitive job market, where career opportunities continue to expand in the field of electronics.


Skill Development Program is an initiative taken by the department to enhance the students' practical skills, orient the students towards core industry competency, and imbibe practical communication skills. This program is implemented for the 4th and 6th-semester students.

The department recently conducted faculty development programs on Analog Circuit Design and MATLAB. It routinely organizes technical talks by leading industry experts and academicians in diverse areas.

The department organizes personality development and aptitude training programs from the third semester and exposes its students to industries through periodic industrial.
